  What book do they study with ''newly interested ones'' ?

  It's the Bible Teach book then "Keep Yourselves In God's Love" which is a replacement for the old "Worship" books.

  Gum Chewing....Allowed in your hall or not?

  so when i attended, this was never an issue - its been five years since i was booted.

  a bit before i woke up, a couple visiting us (middle america) from the deep south basically told me this never, ever was allowed in their hall.

  no 'priveleges' for a guy who chewed gum.

  Furthermore, we can show how deeply we respect the sacred nature of our gatherings by the way we dress. Our appearance with respect to both our clothing and our hairstyle can do much to add to the dignity of our meetings. The apostle Paul counseled: “I desire that in every place the men carry on prayer, lifting up loyal hands, apart from wrath and debates. Likewise I desire the women to adorn themselves in well-arranged dress, with modesty and soundness of mind, not with styles of hair braiding and gold or pearls or very expensive garb, but in the way that befits women professing to reverence God.” ( 1 Timothy 2:8-10 ) When we attend large conventions held in open-air stadiums, our dress can be appropriate to the weather conditions and still be dignified. In addition, our respect for the occasion will lead us to refrain from eating or chewing gum during the sessions. Proper dress and behavior at our gatherings honor Jehovah God, his worship, and our fellow worshippers.

  The paragraph specifically mentions conventions but it also applies to regular meetings. I chew gum all the time and I never catch shit. No one really cares except the uber pious fucks

  Noah - the Movie

  went to the movie theatre over the weekend to take in jack ryan (not bad) and saw the trailer for "noah" (russell crowe and a solid cast) whats the bet the dubs will be given a rule encouraged to examine their own consciences when attending this movie.

  from what i hear its fairly true to the genesis account, but hey its hollywood with cgi at their disposal.. .

  my guess is they will not be allowed to go until the gb 2.0 attend a screening at loews cineplex, grab some popcorn and pop and give it their blessing..

  Actually this movie strays pretty far from the Biblical account, at least the JW version. It's a pretty insane movie that I can't wait to see. If you're familiar with Aronofsky's work, you'll know what to expect.

  One of the turning points in the movie is when Noah figures that man isn't worth saving and starts murdering people.

  i did some research and one website acknowledges that windows provides superior buffering of videos compared to that of apple computers.

  since i own both type computers, i have experienced this.

  even newer and, might i add, very expensive apple computers buffer videos poorly, so i have read.

  yeah I figured he had a sunflower iMac but man, the ol' CRT. I've got a service manual for that at work. you can literally die if you screw up working on the guts

  trillaz: there's a silverlight plugin for OS X (intel only)

  Compound: Don't take this the wrong way, but your computers are prettty old. Apple switched to Intel like 8 years. You may want to consider upgrading.

  holy crap. what model iMac do you have and what version of OS X is it running? If it's an Intel iMacit should run Chrome no problem.
